The Juniors lost by the narrowest of margins: 148-150. Anthony Goodwin & Matt Gilbert, Jimmy Goodwin & Aaron Wheatley, Max Frost & Diogo Norte, Rob Christie & Robert Whitehorn played in their first match of the season. 9 points down on the Singles; 7 points up on truncated Doubles. All played in a super spirit.

Yorkshire Open Doubles

13th October 2007, Giggleswick School

Brian Kirk & Richard Christie, Clive Butler & Robert Grey drove up to Giggleswick where playing conditions deteriorated quickly. The competition switched to Sedbergh, but there too play became impossible and the competition was abandoned.


CFA One-Wall Doubles Tournament

The City Fives Association is a charitable body set up to introduce 1-Wall Fives, or International Handball, to schools in London following the model of New York City. DMF took 6 players. Ashley Hil & Matt Orr reached the final of the Plate.

"The premier Fives event in the East Midlands". Anthony Goodwin from DMF & John Minta (Manchester Y Club) beat Stuart Kirby (DMF) & Grem McIntyre (Halifax White Rose) in the Final. Richard Christie (DMF) & Tim Widdop (White Rose) won the Plate from Clive Butler (DMF) & Bob Sandie (White Rose).

Saturday 10th March 2007, Winchester College

Stuart Kirby, Clive Butler, Brian Kirk and Patrick O'Brien lost 70-117 to the strong Wessex Club on their home courts in the preliminary round of the Wood(Club)Cup. Brian and Clive played next day in the Winchester Fives Tournament.


RFA/DMF v. Cambridge University

Clive Butler, Brian Kirk, Robert Grey and Ashley Hill represented the RFA in this last match to be played on the old Oundle courts. They lost 64-115 to a strong Cambridge side which included national Under 25 and BUSA Champion Alan Beverly


West of England Schools

Wednesday, January 10, 2007, Sherborne

Ashley Hill and Ross Durnie competed in the Under 16 Singles and Doubles. Ashley reached the last 8 and as a pair they got to the semi-finals losing to the eventual winners.
